Haiku by the Seaside

On morning walks by the sea.

Woman at the beach
At the far end of my thought
Now train changing tracks

Look desert of thoughts
Kumadori of the mind
Gaudy, garish, gross.

Cheer up O humans
Ocean waves shall eternally
Will mourn your passing

Agitated winds
Leaping reaching frothy peaks
Debating humans

Waves crashing at shore
Young Surfers whooping with joy
Peeps grubbing mollusks

Whistling warbling wind
Vexing bristly white peaked sea
Declaim hairless ape

Warm wind, white-peaked sea
Whispering, wondering, where
All the humans go?

Ceaseless waves rolling
Over the human remains
A species well spent?

A wave breaks rudely
My torpor, I look to sea
Awash in absurd joy

Foghorn is blowing
The sound of water you hear
Eerie when sight fails

Mind the unseen sand
Ignore not that holds the sea
Make a sand castle!

Faith gets something right
All life hurtles toward doomsday
Meanwhile enjoy sex

We ate, we drank, and
We broke wind like breaking waves
Then made a baby!
